Packaging and logo solutions for a product that addresses the problem of excessive packaging prevalent in today’s commercial marketplace through the utilization of the package as part of the product. In this case, a step further was taken in the selection of the materials used for the package itself. Utilizing almost completely reclaimed materials (used bicycle tubes, concrete wrap and erosion-stop fence) this bike maintenance kit is functional and appealing to its intended audience as well as material-conscious. The visual language of the package and logo reflect practical aspects of the products realm of use (safety while riding) as well as subtle references to the roadway and street signs that surround its intended user. 3D Packaging Studio, Fall 2008
